It evenly distributes heat and humidity throughout the terrarium, and encourages natural digging and burrowing behaviors. Bark Blend is oven dried to eliminate pests naturally found in bark and to make it more absorbest for maintaining terrarium humidity.

It may be necessary to add humidity depending on the species of reptile. If misting is necessary, the bedding will absorb any excess moisture which will then be released back into the terrarium over time.
